Incloodie Food Tour Mission & Core Values

Mission

Incloodie is a cultural food tour company dedicated to celebrating overlooked neighborhoods through storytelling, history, and bold, unforgettable flavors. We create experiences that connect people to place, honor community roots, and spark curiosity — one bite at a time.

Core Values

  1. Culture Over Clout
We honor the roots, stories, and people behind the plate. We uplift communities—not just what's trending.

  2. Curiosity is the Main Ingredient
Every route, flavor, and story is chosen to spark discovery and appreciation. We believe learning should taste good.

  3. Radical Hospitality
We lead with warmth, intention, and care—making every guest feel seen, welcomed, and nourished, emotionally and physically.

  4. Local First, Always
We prioritize neighborhood-owned restaurants, family-run kitchens, and creators who reflect the heartbeat of their community.

  5. Flavor Meets Integrity
We’re not just about food—we’re about doing it right. That means transparency, ethical choices, and authenticity in every experience.

  6. Joy is Resistance
In a world that can be heavy, we believe in joy as a powerful act. Food, laughter, and connection are sacred—and worth protecting.

Who are we
About

Our Founder

In the bustling heart of Dallas, Texas—a place I proudly call home—my journey began as an all-American woman with a deep love for my roots, my culture, and the unique history that shapes our state. Texas isn't just a place; it’s a feeling, and I’ve always been passionate about uncovering its stories and sharing them with the world. As a true foodie at heart, my career has always been intertwined with the food and beverage industry. At just twenty years old, I launched a restaurant review blog, savoring every bite and exploring every corner of Dallas’s culinary scene.

But everything changed when I was twenty-two. A diagnosis of gluten intolerance turned my world upside down. Suddenly, I felt left out at family gatherings and celebrations, unable to partake in the meals that brought us all together. Eating out became a chore, requiring research and worry instead of joy and connection. I knew I wasn’t alone in this struggle, and I wanted to create a space where people like me could belong—where they could enjoy food without the fear of chronic pain or isolation.

That's when Incloodie was born, out of a desire to bring people together, regardless of dietary restrictions. I created a food tour that’s as inclusive as it is delicious, offering gluten-free options that allow everyone to share in the delight of a great meal. Incloodie is about more than just food—it's about community, connection, and culture.

Our first tour, ‘Dallas Unveiled: Tejano Trails. A Journey Through Culture, Art, and Flavors,’ is a tribute to the soul of this city I love. We explore Dallas’s historic neighborhoods, meeting local artisans who breathe life into the city's rich heritage. We savor international cuisines, each dish a new discovery, and every stop catering to diverse dietary needs, including gluten-free and vegetarian options.

As we move through the city, we connect with small business owners whose passion mirrors my own—a dedication to preserving the unique spirit of Dallas.

Join us on this journey through the heart of Dallas, where every bite tells a story, and every story is an invitation to celebrate life, love, and the vibrant tapestry that makes Texas—and Dallas—such a special place.

Great tour!
My friend was sick and I ended up doing the food tour by myself. The tour guide was great! She was very personable and made me feel comfortable to do the tour alone. The food was great and a nice variety. The tour itself included a good mix of history, culture and fun facts. I really got to know part of Dallas I wouldn’t have seen otherwise.

Go beyond BBQ and TexMex
Having been in Texas for 10 days, it was great to go beyond the typical BBQ and TexMex cuisine in this unique food tour that takes place in Oak Cliff, a couple of miles out of the downtown Dallas area. My guide, Lauren, was knowledgeable and enthusiastic about the food and history of this neighborhood. She was just a delight to spend time with. Also, there was *so much* food included in this tour, it was great value for money. I have a healthy appetite and I still couldn’t finish all of the food provided. If you can, skip breakfast because I now regret all of the tasty morsels left behind.

Great food/culture tour of Little Mexico in Dallas!
What a great tour! Honestly, it wasn’t what I was expecting, but it was great! Lauren was very personable and you could feel her passion for what she is doing. I definitely tried dishes I don’t even know how to pronounce and therefore would not have ordered on my own, but everything was absolutely delicious! The portions were very good and I loved hearing about the Mexican culture of Dallas. I’m even planning on returning to these places to have full meals!

Muy Bien in Dallas!

My husband and I were visiting Dallas, and signed up for the foodie tour, not knowing what to expect. Our tour guide, Lauren, ("Incloodie" food tours) was so welcoming and energetic! She took us to several restaurants, and we had very good meals, from steak and potatoes to authentic Mexican / El Salvadorian food! Lauren was also knowledgeable about local history, and we had a great experience!

The variety of the food was excellent. We loved trying out a few exotic dishes that were out our normal selections. Also loved the history of the Oak Cliff neighborhood.

worth the time and money

our tour guide, Lauren?, was very knowledgeable about the area & the history. The only suggestion i would have is make the portions smaller. We started with the biggest meal, which was amazing, but the potatoes could have been 1/2 the size and the dessert could have been smaller also. Nobody left hungry.

Yum!
Highly recommend! Lauren was a fantastic tour guide who really cared about getting us the best experience in Oak Cliff. Large portion sizes at each stop - recommend not eating or a light snack prior to your tour! All stops were high quality and had delicious food.

GREAT GUIDE AND TOUR.

Lauren took my daughter and me on one of the best food/history tours we have been on. The food and her fun facts were terrific. We started with steak, baked potato and salad that was delicious and would be difficult to top but she did!! We ate food from many cultures and Lauren had many interesting facts about their cultures. She definitely took her time to share her knowledge of Texas history with us. She was also open to our many questions about the area. Lauren gave us ideas on things to do to full up the rest of our day. We would definitely do another tour with Lauren.
